Experience our personalized log milling service right at your location. We transform your logs into usable lumber efficiently and with care, tailored to meet your needs. Quarter and Rift Sawn or Flat Sawn operations to chose from. Price is per board foot of rough sawn lumber. $1.50 for Flat Sawn $2.00 for Quarter/Rift Sawn In addition to a $75 set up fee. (The consultation would cover this) $25 per broken blade due to metal or other foreign objects in the wood. Quarter and Rift sawn lumber is more expensive, but it's more stable and creates a more desirable grain pattern. The process to mill quarter and rift sawn lumber is more labor intensive and creates more waste. Flat sawn lumber creates the "Cathedral" look and can leave the live edge intact if that is your goal. It's a less labor intensive way to mill logs and is therefor cheaper.
